William Michael Skiles, born January 18, 1950, passed away on August 16, 2024. He is the son of the late William and Marie Skiles. William (Mike) retired from being a Security Officer in 2012. He enjoyed gardening, stamp collecting, and spending time with family. He also learned the trade of painting while working with his father and was meticulous at it. He was a lifetime member of the NRA. He also enjoyed reading his Bible every day, as his health permitted. Although a long-time resident of Michigan, he had a heartfelt love for Canada where he spent much of his childhood with his beloved late grandparents he affectionately called Mim and Pip.
Mike is predeceased by his parents, William and Marie Skiles, a daughter Cherie, a sister Joanne, and a brother, John Emmett.
He is survived by his wife Patty, a son, Paul Michael, and his three grandchildren, James, Erica, and Chloe.
Mike is also survived by his brother Don (Pam) Skiles, sister Catherine Neubert, Alfred Grochowski, husband of the late Joanne and his many nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
Visititation and a private service will be held for Mike at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, and he will be interred on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, at Noon, at Cadillac Memorial Gardens East Cemetery in Clinton Township, Michigan.
