William Fry Jr. Obituary

William Kenneth Fry Jr., age 87 of Clinton Twp., passed away peacefully on June 1, 2023 surrounded by the love of his family.

William was born on May 19, 1936 in Harrington, Delaware to loving parents William Sr. and Florence Fry. As a young man, William proudly joined the United States Air Force where he served his country with dedication. During his time in the Airforce, he was moved to the Selfridge base in Harrison Twp., Michigan. While living on base, William would meet the love of his life, and future bride, Joan Kyle while at a roller rink. In 1959, William and Joan married and together would go on to raise their loving family. William cherished the title of ‘Dad’, and proved to be one of the best. Later in his life, William was overjoyed to become a grandfather and then a great-grandfather to his beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren. William was a hardworking provider for his family, working for many years as a pipefitter at Chrysler. William will be remembered by many for his kindness he shown to all, his willingness to give his time to help others, and how he went through life not holding grudges. In his free time, William enjoyed woodworking (creating many pieces over the years, and winning multiple awards!), fishing, playing the wooden spoons at the Moose Lodge, gardening, and hunting in his younger years. William will be forever remembered by all who knew and loved him.

Beloved husband of Joan Fry; loving father of Ken (Paula) Fry, Kim (Chris) Rojem, Kelly (Matt) Gostek, Kristi (Nick) Twardokus; proud grandfather of Nick (Alyssa) Fry, Bill (fiancée Wilhelmina) Fry, Paul (Mackenzie) Fry, Kyle Rojem, Megan (John) Piwonski; Garrett (Kylie) Gostek, Nicole Gostek, Amanda (Murphy) Forsyth, and Lauren (Nick) Judkins; best great-grandfather of Marley Judkins, Kade Judkins, Blake Piwonski, Oliver Piwonski; cherished brother of Francis Fry. William is also survived by many loving family and friends. William is preceded in passing by his parents William Sr. and Florence Fry.

Visitation to take place on Monday, June 5 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral service at 7:00 PM.
