Werner Frank Obituary
Werner R. Frank, age 91, passed away peacefully on December 5, 2023.
Werner was born March 13, 1932 to Richard and Elisabeth (Hammelehle) Frank, German immigrants. He attended school in Detroit until the family moved to Howell in 1941 and opened Franks Gift Shop on Grand River.
Werner attended Howell High School and later graduated from Cleary College. While going to college, he worked at Ypsilanti State Hospital. Drafted during the Korean War, Werner worked in several Army hospitals throughout the United States. Upon return from the military, Werner married Joan Cook from Tipton, MI on October 19, 1957. One daughter Cheryl Brotz, son-in-law Ken and Grand Daughters Amanda, and Katie (Derek) Allison.
Mr. Frank was employed many years at (Bormans) Farmer Jack as a store manager throughout the Metro Detroit area. Upon retiring, Werner and Joan spent many years in Sun City West Arizonia, enjoying golf, travel, and new friends.
Visitation to take place on Saturday, January 6, 2024 at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home from 10:30 AM – 2:30 PM with a funeral service at 12:00 PM.
Burial will take place at a later date at Tipton Cemetery in Franklin Twp.
