Wayne Corey, age 67, passed away surrounded by the love of his family. Born on December 7, 1957, Wayne lived a life defined by dedication, kindness, and deep devotion to those he loved.
Wayne built a remarkable career as a Systems Analyst at Chrysler, where he worked for 37 years before retiring in December 2021. His passion and precision left a lasting mark not only on the company but also on the people he worked alongside.
On August 2, 1997, Wayne married the love of his life, Karen, and together they built a beautiful life filled with laughter, strength, and unwavering love. He was a devoted and proud father to Christian John-Sam Corey.
Wayne’s love for family extended far beyond his immediate circle. He was a beloved brother to Donna and Ramona and held a very special place in his heart for all of his nieces, nephews, and his great niece Gianna.
Predeceased by his mother Rose, his father Sam, mother-in-law Alice, father-in-law John, and sister-in-law Denise, Wayne honored their memory through his actions and his love for family.
Wayne had many passions, including his beloved Detroit Tigers, playing golf, and watching old movies. He shared a close bond with the family dog, Stryker, and found joy in the simple pleasures—quiet moments with loved ones, a good game, or a family gathering.
More than anything, Wayne loved being surrounded by family. Whether it was a holiday, a casual afternoon, playing catch with his son, or just a quick phone call, he cherished every connection. His presence brought warmth, stability, and a quiet strength that will be deeply missed but forever remembered.
Wayne Corey leaves behind a legacy of love, loyalty, and the kind of steady devotion that shaped every life he touched. He continued this legacy beyond his life, by being an organ Donor for Gift Of Life.
