Vasilika Skordileva

It is with profound sadness that we announce the passing of Vasilika Skordileva, aged 90, who departed from this world on April 2, 2025. Vasilika was born on October 10, 1934, to Jani and Thimika Jance in the quaint town of Tren, Bilisht, Albania. She embodied a spirit of warmth and compassion that touched the lives of all who knew her.

Vasilika is remembered fondly as a devoted wife to her beloved husband, Koco. Together, they shared a life filled with love and laughter. Vasilika found immense joy in the company of her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, to whom she was a cherished grandmother. Her zest for life shone brightly through the meals she lovingly prepared, showcasing her remarkable culinary talents that were a source of comfort and delight for her family.

In 2007, Vasilika made the courageous decision to move to Michigan, where she continued to forge meaningful connections within her community, bringing with her the rich traditions and values from her homeland. Her legacy of love, resilience, and generosity will forever be etched in the hearts of her family and friends.
As we grieve the loss of Vasilika Skordileva, we also celebrate the beautiful memories she leaves behind. May her soul rest in peace, and may her spirit continue to inspire those who had the privilege of knowing her.
