Thomas Wayne Poston

Thomas Wayne Poston, age 58 of Ira Twp., passed away on July 11, 2023.

Tom was born on December 17, 1964 to Jimmie and Carolyn Poston in Smyrna, Tennessee. As a baby, Tom’s family moved to Michigan where they settled into Detroit and later St. Clair Shores. On October 27, 1990, Tom would marry the love of his life and soulmate, Simone Bauer, in a beautiful ceremony at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mount Clemens. Together, Tom and Simone would raise three beloved children, Arianna, Gabrielle, and Nicholas. Tom was the best father, husband, and provider for his family. His family truly was his entire world. Tom worked for many years as a heavy equipment mechanic before becoming a long-haul truck driver (a job that he truly loved and enjoyed). It was hard not to love Tom, with his easy-going personality, good jokes, and friendly demeanor. The world is truly a better and brighter place because we had Tom apart of it. He will be forever loved and missed by all who knew him.

Beloved husband of Simone Poston; best father of Arianna, Gabrielle, and Nicholas; dear brother of Debbie (Chris) Walker; loving brother-in-law to Candice (Jeff) Bonikowski, and Michael (Donna) Watson; loved best-friend of Ted (Patricia) Mercurio; and loving owner of Pepper and Mittens.

Tom is preceded in passing by his dear brother Michael Poston, and parents Jimmie and Carolyn Poston.

Visitation to take place on Friday, July 14 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM, with a funeral service at 6:00 PM.
