Obituary

Thomas Alan Jovanovich, age 68 of Shelby Twp., passed away peacefully on April 24, 2022 surrounded by the love of his family.
Tom was born on July 5, 1953 to George and Mary Jovanovich in Detroit, Michigan. He would later meet the love of his life, and future bride, Cheryl Wegori. On August 5, 1978, Tom and Cheryl married at Christ Lutheran Church in Warren, Michigan. Tom loved being a dad to Larry and Craig, and was so overjoyed to become a grandfather, and great-grandfather later in his years. Tom had a passion for traveling, great food, enjoying a great bourbon, and watching his favorite race car events. Tom also loved to create cocktails, and to learn and expand his skills behind the bar. However, the most important thing in Tom’s life was his family, and the time he was able to spend with them all.
Tom will be forever remembered by all who loved him.
Beloved husband of 50 years to Cheryl A. Jovanovich; cherished father of Larry R. (Marina) Rybarz, and Craig R. Rybarz; proud grandfather of Brett (Cayla) Rybarz, Dominic Rybarz, Skylar Rybarz, Tyler Rybarz, Kelly (Frank) Parada, and Eric Rybarz; dear great-grandfather of Brayden Rybarz, Liam Rybarz, Sophie Rybarz, and Harli Rybarz.
Tom joins in heaven his parents George and Mary Jovanovich, sister Lynn Jovanovich, and beloved grandson Larry Rybarz III.
