Shirley Jean Kramer, age 85, of Detroit, passed away peacefully in September 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. Born on March 1, 1940, to Nicolo and Sarah Carlisi, Shirley lived a life filled with joy, creativity, and endless compassion.
On June 5, 1971, she married the love of her life, John Kramer, embarking on a beautiful journey together that blessed them with two wonderful children. Shirley was a vibrant spirit who found immense joy in the simple pleasures of life. She had a profound love for the ocean and was often found collecting seashells along the shore or enjoying serene walks on the beach. Orange Beach in Alabama held a special place in her heart, where she created countless cherished memories with her family.
Shirley’s passion for crafting and making ceramics reflected her creative mind and loving nature. She was always eager to share a laugh and bring smiles to those around her, brightening the lives of everyone she met. Her warmth and kindness will be deeply missed by all who knew her.
Shirley Jean Kramer will be remembered as a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a cherished friend. Her legacy of love and laughter will continue to inspire us and remind us of the beauty of life.
Cherished wife of John; loving mother of Jeff (Ann) and Steve; proud grandmother to Sadie, and Wilson (Alana) and great-grandmother to Stevie; treasured sister to Leberta (Wes); loved Aunt to many nieces and nephews.
