Sharon Ann Sutton, age 82, of Macomb, Michigan, beloved Wife, Mother, Mother-in-law, Sister and Aunt was called to her eternal resting place on July 8, 2025 after a long fight. Born on October 3, 1942, in Detroit, Michigan, she dedicated her life to her family and the community around her. Sharon is survived by her loving husband, Melvin (Butch) Sutton of 64 years, her daughters Dawn Sutton, Pam Hilton and her son-in-law Mark Hilton. Her 4 sisters, sister-in-law, many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Sharon's warmth and kindness extended beyond her family, as she was a cherished figure in her neighborhood, lovingly referred to as "The Mom of the Joy Street kids" by the children who played nearby. Known for her exceptional apple pies, she delighted friends, family, and doctors/doctor's office staff alike with her baking skills. Sharon devoted many hours to volunteering in hospitals, nursing homes and Grosse Pointe Library providing comfort and companionship to patients, residents and children through her beloved pet therapy program. Sharon had quit school in 9th grade but when she was older, she decided to go back to get her a real high school diploma at 50yrs old.
Sharon fought the hard battle with the many health issues she had through the years. She was referred to by Pam as her "Tough Cookie". After Sharon and Butch's health issues changed, they moved to Story Point Chesterfield where they made many friends and loved by the staff.
She will be sorely missed by All who had the privilege to know and love her.
