Scott Berkseth, age 65, passed away on May 12, 2026. Born on December 14, 1960, Scott lived a life filled with laughter, passion, and deep love for the people and things that brought him joy.
Scott was preceded in death by his loving parents, Donald and Pauline Berkseth. He is survived by his beloved children, Holly (Andrew Larsen) Berkseth, Samantha (Glen Brozio) Berkseth, and Anthony (Jenaya Mack) Berkseth; his siblings, Kurt (Judy) Berkseth and Cynthia (Rick) Burns; along with many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
A devoted fan of all Detroit sports teams, especially the Lions, Scott could always be counted on to cheer faithfully for his team through every season. He carried an equally deep love for softball throughout his life. Not only did he proudly coach little league baseball for his children, but he also played softball himself, beginning in his teenage years, creating countless memories on the field doing what he loved most.
Scott was known for his sense of humor and his ability to make people laugh with his jokes and playful personality. He had a true love for food, especially anything spicy, and enjoyed sharing meals and stories with those around him. In his free time, he found peace and happiness in fishing, particularly salmon fishing, which brought him great joy throughout the years. He also held a great love for the weather, especially enjoying severe storms like blizzards and tornadoes.
Scott will be remembered for his humor, his passions, and the love he shared so freely with his family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered always.
