Sandra "Sandy" Lynn Perrin, age 77, passed away peacefully on October 27, 2024 surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on March 16, 1947, in Detroit, Michigan to loving parents William and Mary, Sandy's life was one of devotion and service to others. As a young woman, Sandy embarked on a journey to become a nun before a chance meeting led her to her beloved husband, Fredrick Perrin. Their union blossomed on August 22, 1971, giving rise to a beautiful family that Sandy cherished dearly. Her daughters, Selena, Suzanne and Terrie, were her pride and joy, and later, her role as a grandmother brought her immense happiness. Sandy's commitment to education shone through her 23-year tenure as a dedicated teacher at De La Salle Colligate High School in Warren. Her passion for teaching subjects like Religion, Marriage, and Social Justice inspired countless students. A devout Catholic, Sandy's faith was unwavering, and she served as a Eucharistic Minister, embodying her beliefs through her actions. In her free time, Sandy found solace in her hobbies. Knitting, sewing, camping, reading, and beading brought her joy and fulfillment. Her artistic talents were showcased through award-winning pieces displayed at events like the Armada Fair and State Fair. Sandy's kindness extended beyond her family and career, as she also selflessly volunteered with organizations like Toys for Tots. Sandy's presence will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of love, kindness, and compassion will endure in the hearts of those she touched.
