Ryan Anthony Meller, a true lover of life, passed away unexpectedly on August 3, 2024, at the age of 42. Born on September 15, 1981, to Mark and Rita in Detroit, Ryan found joy in life's simple pleasures. He found his soulmate in marriage with Hope, and together they shared a bond that was unbreakable.
Ever since he was a child, Ryan channeled his creativity through his love for LEGO, leaning on his vast imagination to build unique creations in his early years, while turning to a precise collection of Architecture & NASA-inspired sets as an adult.
From his years as an avid trumpet player, to the compositions he created on his keyboards, to the eclectic collection of artists he enjoyed listening to: Music was another consistent source of entertainment and inspiration for Ryan.
He also embraced the outdoors with a passionate zest for exploration. He developed a green thumb through gardening, bringing vivid color to his world, while his countless nights spent camping under a starlit sky—embracing Hope in the warm glow of a bonfire—brought him an unmistakable peace. Finally, Ryan's love and knowledge of technology ran deep. Whether it be computers, video games, HAM radios, or his personal weather station, he was a tinkerer through and through.
Ryan's infectious spirit will be forever remembered by all who knew him. His jovial demeanor, coupled with his favorite saying "Life finds a way," served as a reminder that no matter the situation, we all must continue to move forward.
Beloved husband to Hope; cherished son to Mark (Beth) and Rita; favorite son-in-law to Doug and Laurie; wonderful brother to Adam (Meghan); loved brother-in-law to Matthew (Kristina) David; proud uncle to nephews Lukas and Reed. Also survived by many loving Aunts, Uncles, and cousins.
Joined in Heaven by his loving grandparents.
