Ronald Voelker Obituary

Ronald Edward Voelker, age 69, passed away on April 10, 2021 surrounded by the immense love of his family.

Ron was born on January 4, 1952 to Clifford and Helen Voelker in Fort Wayne, Indiana. He would earn his degree in accounting at the University of Indiana, and moved to Detroit, Michigan in his early 20’s. Ron was always an incredibly hard worker, and highly intelligent. He loved to study and read about science, history, and understanding the stock market. While working as a CPA, fate would bring him to meet the love of his life and future bride, Ann. Their friendship would bloom and grow as they worked together. It was not long before they were married in a destination wedding in Steamboat Springs Colorado with their daughters and family surrounding them. Together, Ron and Ann shared 21 beautiful years with one another.

In Ron’s free time, he loved to listen to music and work on his art. Throughout his years, Ron created many drawings. He was very spiritual and believed in Jesus as his savior. He also self-published his own book. For 30 years, Ron dealt with his MS with the strength of a true fighter. He took everything in stride and was always optimistic and overly positive. MS took many things away from Ron but he never let it hold him back. He always believed he’d be healed and never gave up. Ron left this world on April 10, 2021 to be reunited with the angels, leaving a legacy of love and memories.

Ron will be forever remembered by all whom loved him.

Beloved husband of Ann Marie Voelker; cherished father of Lisa (Matt) Voelker, Sandra (Brandon) Rush, and Laura (Adam) Gniazdoski; proud grandfather of Bryce and Sienna Rush; dearest brother of Craig (Grace) Voelker.

Ron was preceded in passing by his parents Helen and Clifford Voelker.

Services for Ron will be held on Saturday May 1st. Due to Covid restrictions registration is required. Please send an email to Annvoelker@icloud.com to get details and RSVP by April 21st.
