Robert Francis Eastman

Robert Francis Eastman, age 85 of Macomb, passed away on February 22, 2021.

Robert was born on August 14, 1935 to Martin and Catherine Eastman in Barnesboro, Pennsylvania. As a teenager, Robert met the love of his life, and future bride, Genevieve Baran. They met at high school, and would work together at the same shirt factory. They quickly fell in love, and was married a few years later. At the age of 19, Robert relocated to Michigan where he would work as a tool & die journeyman at Chrysler and General Motors. As the years went on, Robert and Genevieve started a family that grew, and together they had four children; Debbie, Gloria, Bob Jr., and Jeanine. Bob loved being a father to his children, and then was overjoyed to become a grandfather and great-grandfather. One of the most important things in his life was his family, and the time he spent with them. He also loved to take regular trips up north and with his family visiting his beloved home state of Pennsylvania. In his free time, Bob loved boating on Lake Saint Clare, hunting, playing cards and Rummikub.

Bob will be forever missed.

Beloved husband of 66 years of Genevieve; cherished father of Debbie (David) Golden, Gloria DeRonne, Bob Jr. (Penny) Eastman, and Jeanine (Ron) DePestle; proud grandfather of Allison, Heather (Rich), Edward III (Amy), Eric, Robert Francis III, Teddy, Ronnie, and Jenelle; loving great-grandfather of Camden, Jackson, Jordon, Edward IV, and Vinnie.

Robert was preceded in passing by his parents, and eight dear siblings.

Visitation to be held on Wednesday, February 24 from 4-8PM. Funeral Mass to be held on Thursday, February 25 at St. Theresa of Lisieux. Instate, or gathering time, 9:30 AM. Mass at 10:00 AM.
