With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Rick Edward Keena, age 71, who left us on June 25, 2026. Born on June 29, 1954, to Edward and Marcelle, Rick lived a life filled with adventure, love, and laughter. Rick had a spirit that was as vibrant as the outdoors he cherished. An enthusiastic hunter, he could often be found out in the woods, pursuing his passions with enthusiasm and joy. He loved sailing and skiing, thrill-seeking and embracing life to its fullest. Every November 15 was a cherished holiday for him, signaling the much-anticipated opening day that never failed to excite. Above all, Rick treasured his time with family and his beloved grandchildren. His laughter and warm spirit filled their lives with so many unforgettable moments. He was known for his generous heart, dedicating time and resources to causes that mattered deeply to him, especially children's charities. Rick was an avid donor to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, with contributions automatically deducted from his paycheck, a testament to his commitment to helping others. His time spent with the Muscular Dystrophy Association (MDA) camp was equally special, where he once humorously volunteered to become a "human sundae," bringing smiles to countless children. As we gather to celebrate Rick's vibrant life, we welcome all who knew him to join us. Funeral services will be held on July 7,2026, at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, where we will share memories and honor the incredible man that Rick was. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital in Rick's honor. Rick will be forever missed by his family and friends, but his spirit will live on in the countless lives he touched. May we carry forward his legacy of love, generosity, and adventure.
