Richard "Rich" Pienta

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard "Rich" Pienta, age 76, who left us on March 28, 2025. Born on April 17, 1948, in Detroit to Joseph and Rita Pienta, Rich was a loving husband, devoted father, proud grandfather, and cherished friend to many.

Rich was a man who truly lived life to the fullest. He shared a beautiful marriage of 55 years with his beloved wife, Patricia, and together they created a wonderful life centered around their beloved daughter, Jennifer, and their grandchildren. His love for family was evident in everything he did, and he always made time for those he cared about.

An avid golfer and bowler, Rich had a competitive spirit and a knack for making everything fun. He had a passion for music, especially the classics of Frank Sinatra and Elvis. Rich’s sense of humor and kind heart drew people to him, making friends wherever he went.

In addition to his love for sports and music, Rich had a broader love for experiences. He enjoyed traveling to exciting destinations like many trips to Las Vegas, Chicago, California, Florida, Mexico, the Bahamas, and Niagara Falls. A true foodie at heart, Rich loved exploring new restaurants and trying different cuisines, relishing the joy of good food with family and friends.

Rich took great pride in his beloved car, always ensuring it was in pristine condition, just like his garage – a testament to his meticulous nature. Rich was also a hard worker; evident in his dedication as a Tool and Die Maker for over 45 years.

His family and friends will remember him for his quick wit, kind spirit, and the joy he brought to their lives. He had an incredible ability to make everyone around him feel special and loved.

Rich will be missed by everyone who knew and loved him.

Beloved husband of Patsy; cherished father to Jennifer (Kevin); proud grandfather to Jack, Nick, Rutger, and Sofie; treasured uncle to many nieces and nephews.
