It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Richard "Dick" Milne, age 88, into eternal life on February 13, 2026. Born on July 23, 1937 in Detroit, Michigan to the late Russell and Rosemary Milne, and brother to the late Russell and Bob. Dick was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle and friend.
Dick's idyllic youth included visiting the family cottage in Glennie and deer camp in Gwinn. He enjoyed adventures with his lifelong friends and had passion for managing Chevrolet dealerships for 40+ years, sitting on the gunnel of the boat with a fish pole in his hand or wading in the marsh with his sons and grandsons duck hunting. Dick often said that his wife, Marlin, who he started dating at thirteen years old, was the catch of a lifetime. Together they raised four children and always had a welcome mat to friends or family who came by land or water. You could always find him fixing something around his or someone else's house. But the day would not be complete without his storytelling which could last for hours.
Dick loved his family: Marlin his wife of 67 years; children, Debra (David) McCormick, Richard Milne, Denise (Steven) Strasz, Raymond (Susan) Milne; beloved grandfather to Mike McCormick, Patty McCormick (Alistair Phaup), Jon McCormick, Jimmy McCormick, John Paul Strasz, Rosemary Strasz, Joseph Strasz, Amanda (Justin) Feutz and Ryan (Joan) Milne; wonderful great-grandfather to Lukus, Xander, Eli Feutz, Everett Feutz, Rubin Milne and Roth Milne.
Family and Friends are invited to gather and share stories, laughter and reflections on a life well-lived.
In lieu of flowers, the family welcomes donations to the Capuchin Ministries.
Funeral Mass will be live streamed at St. Huberts Church website
