Richard Lawrence MacArthur

On Tuesday, January 19, 2021, Richard MacArthur, loving husband and father, passed away at the age of 87. 

In 1963, he was married, and together with his wife, raised four children. He received his law degree from Detroit College of Law in 1962 and practiced workers’ compensation and asbestos litigation law for 58 years, practicing the last 28 years with his son. 
Richard had an active Christian faith.  Throughout his adult life, he was thoroughly involved in his churches.  In his later years, he wrote several Christian novels and short stories.  He had a life-long love for flying and sailing. 

Richard was preceded in death by his father and his mother.  He was survived by his wife and four children and nine grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Thursday, January 28, 2021 at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, 46530 Romeo Plank Rd, Macomb, MI 48044, (586) 412-8999, from 2:00 to 7:00. 
A visitation and funeral service will be held on Friday, January 29, 2021 at Shepherd’s Gate Church, 12400 23 Mile Road, Shelby Twp., MI 48315, (586) 731-4544.  Visitation at 10:00.  Service at 11:00.
