Richard Dale Farlin, age 80 of Grand Blanc, passed away on July 13, 2021 surrounded by the love of his family.
Richard was born on February 21, 1941 in Council Bluffs, Iowa to Earl and Doris Farlin. As a young man, Richard proudly joined the United States Navy, and served his country with dedication and loyalty. After the military, Richard worked for General Motors where he retired after 35 years. Richard raised three beautiful daughters; Kimberly, Tamara, and Jamie. He was overjoyed to become a Papa to his grandchildren and greatgrandchildren later in his life. Family meant the world to Richard, and he cherished the time he was able to spend with them. Richard also loved to golf with his friends and family, had weekly poker games with his buddies, and enjoyed watching his favorite sports teams. Richard will be forever remembered as a loving and devoted father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend to all who knew him.
He will be forever missed.
Beloved father of Kimberly (John) Pillivant, Tamara (Jamie) Jackson, Jaime (Eddie) Decru; proud Papa of Paige, Sydney, Dustin, Raymond, John, Samantha, Hannah, Justin, and Jenna; loving great-grandfather of nine; loved brother of Stan (Cyndee) Farlin, and Larry (Pat) Farlin; dearest uncle of Marcie, Brian, Billy, Mike, and Pat; loved great-uncle of seven great-nieces and nephews.
Richard was preceded in passing by his loving parents Earl and Doris Farlin.
Visitation to take place on Friday, July 16 from 2:00 PM – 7:00 PM. Funeral service at 7:00 PM.
Burial and military honors to take place on Saturday, July 17 at Resurrection Cemetery in Clinton, Twp. Line up for procession from the funeral home starting at 11:00 AM. Procession leaving for the cemetery at 11: 45 AM. Burial and military honors at 12:00 PM at the cemetery.
