Richard Irving Bauer, age 80 of Macomb, passed away on December 17, 2022.
Richard was born on November 9, 1942 to Carl and Marjorie Bauer in Detroit, Michigan. As a young man, Dick proudly joined the United States Marines where he served his country during the Vietnam War. After the war, Dick met the love of his life and future bride, Sandra, through a friend. Within a week, Dick and Sandra was engaged and on June 15, 1972 married at the Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Roseville. Together, they shared not only 50 years of happiness but also raised three cherished children: Richard II, Brian, and Jennifer. For many years, Dick worked as a small engine repairman at Sears before retiring. In his free time, Dick loved to watch Nascar, enjoyed attending various cruises with his ’79 Impala, playing Uno and other card games with his family, and going to air shows at the military base. Dick will be forever remembered by all who loved him.
Beloved husband of Sandra Bauer; cherished father of Richard I (Tammy) Bauer II, Brian (Victoria) Bauer, and Jennifer Bauer; proud grandfather of Quinn Robbins, Spencer Vora, Sara Bauer, Collin Vora, Emma Bauer, and Nicholas Bauer; loving brother of Carl (Barbara) Bauer.
