Raymond Thomas Dezenski, the captain of our ship, has been laid to rest at sea. Born April 30, 1949, in Detroit, he grew up learning that family was more important than anything else, later dedicating all his energy to loving and caring for his own. His patience and selflessness were unmatched. Our “Jimmy Buffett” look-a-like used food to bring people together. He was known for his homemade perch dinners, French fries, big Sunday breakfasts, pierogies, and chicken noodle soup. Cancer was his biggest storm, he passed on August 25, 2021. He is deeply loved and missed by his loyal crew, his wife Bernie, his daughters, Valerie and Lauren, his son-in-law J., his grandkids Mason and Evelyn, and brothers Hank (Gloria) and Tom (Bette). In lieu of a memorial service, we ask that you raise a toast in his name. Have fun, be safe up there, Dad.
