Raymond Piatkowski, age 82, passed away on December 18, 2025. He was born on July 5, 1943.
Raymond was the beloved husband of Diane Piatkowski. The two were married on June 17, 1994, and shared a devoted life together built on love and companionship.
He spent most of his working career at General Motors, where he worked as a systems analyst—a role perfectly suited to his curious mind and lifelong habit of tinkering with anything mechanical or technical. Raymond was known for always having a project in progress and took pride in figuring out how things worked. He was also a deeply organized man, finding comfort in order and structure in both his work and daily life.
Raymond was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Frances Piatkowski, and his beloved grandson, Zachary.
He is survived by his loving wife, Diane; his children, Cheryl, Daniel (Fran), and Michelle (Chris); step children Tammy ( her late husband Norm) Mike (Amy) and Dave (Dawn). His cherished grandchildren, Alex, Isabella, Grace, Emily, Michael, Sam, Jake, Olivia, Sophia, Hayden, and Addison. He also leaves behind his treasured great-grandchildren, Bryson, Enzo, Kota, Elliana, Isla, Lennon, and Roman, who brought him great joy.
In his free time, Raymond loved camping, a pastime that allowed him to relax and enjoy the outdoors. He was also happiest at the casino, which he thoroughly enjoyed and frequented often. As a passionate sports fan, Raymond also loved watching games and proudly supported the Detroit Lions and Detroit Tigers. He also enjoyed spending time with the ones he loved most, and was known to always make time to assist or visit others.
Raymond will be remembered for his sharp mind, his love of problem-solving, his dedication to family, his unique sense of humor along with the jokes that he would tell, and the quiet joy he found in the things he loved most. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
