Pietra Palazzolo, age 58 of Macomb Twp., passed away peacefully surrounded by her loved ones on August 27, 2023.
Pietra was born on January 13, 1965 to loved parents Gaetano and Pietra Randazzo in Palermo, Sicily.. Sadly, Pietra’s mother would pass away during childbirth. Her father would go on to remarry--with that marriage, Pietra gained a loving mother, Filomena Randazzo, whom she loved. As a young woman, Pietra would meet the love of her life, and future husband, Giuseppe Palazzolo while he was returning to Sicily in order to visit with family. They would later go on to get married in Giuseppe's home town of Terrasini, Sicily on January 10, 1987. Pietra then immigrated to the United States with her husband, settling in Michigan. Together, Pietra and Giuseppe would raise four loving children; Pietro, Graziella, Enza, Jessica and gain a cherished bonus daughter Nakita Gojcaj. Pietra was a wonderful mother, and was so overjoyed to become a grandmother. Pietra’s love for her family and others knew no bounds. She cared deeply for the people she loved, and always wanted to comfort and give care. Pietra was an amazing cook, and loved to make delicious meals for her family to enjoy. During the summer, Pietra was known for growing such beautiful flowers, vegetable gardens, and fruit trees. Pietra’s love and beautiful spirit will live on forever through her family and those she touched during her 58 years of life. The world is truly a better and brighter place because she was apart of it. She will be forever loved.
