It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Peter "Pete" Solitro. Born on December 3, 1954, in Detroit to Benny and Anna Solitro, Pete peacefully passed away on March 12, 2024. He was a dedicated husband to the love of his life, Cindy, and together they raised three wonderful children.
Pete lived a life filled with adventure and service as a paramedic. He had a soft spot for his faithful dog, Kenda, and found joy in the simple pleasures of music, particularly classic rock, blues rock, and Italian melodies. His passion for guns and keeping an eye on the weather were only surpassed by his habit of listening to the police scanner, always eager to stay informed.
A loving grandfather, Pete adored spending time with his grandkids, relishing in their laughter and energy. His presence in their lives will be sorely missed, as will his warmth and compassion that touched all who knew him.
Cherished son to Anna; beloved husband to Cindy; dedicated father to Ben, Dale (Letitia), and Anthony (Alyssa); loved brother to Jimmy (Charlotte) and Joanne (Frank) Spada; proud grandfather to Rosie and Jaxson.
