On December 28th, Patricia Genevieve Bradacs passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Patricia was the daughter of Francis and Elizabeth McPherson of Detroit, Michigan, and the youngest of four children. After her graduation from Patronage of St. Joseph high school, she married the love of her life, Joseph, and together they raised four children in St. Clair Shores. When Patricia's children were young, the phrase “stay-at-home mom” didn't exist. It was usual for women to stay home with children while their husbands worked, but even by those standards of the era, Patricia was an exceptional wife and mother. She was devoted to her family and enjoyed the many rewards that raising her children brought, such as being present for them after a challenging day at school with a plate of freshly baked cookies. After her youngest daughter adjusted to the routine of school, Patricia returned to work as a State Farm representative in a successful insurance office.
Patricia cared deeply for her family, friends, and religious faith. She did this not out of obligation, but because of who she was. Her friendships included a lifelong close bond with her mother, sisters, and a group of special women from her early school years—a testimony to her beautiful feminine spirit. Her church family was very important to her, and she enjoyed volunteering at the St. Vincent DePaul food pantry and singing soprano in the church choir (a favorite activity for her, especially at Christmas Eve midnight mass and on Easter Sunday). She was an avid Red Wings fan and thoroughly rejoiced in 11 Stanley Cup wins throughout her lifetime. A lifelong Michigan resident, Patricia loved vacationing up north. Her travels included visits to the casinos, which were a favorite part of her retirement years. She will be missed by her loving family and many friends.
Beloved mother to Keith (Shelly), Lynn (late Peter), Beth, and Jan; cherished Nana to Joe (Lindsay), Kevin (Jess), Loree (Jess), Elizabeth, Nick, Josh (Bellina), Jacob, Ethan, and Seth (Alexis). Beloved great-grandmother to Avery, Isaac, and baby Bradacs-Drabing.
Joined in Heaven with her loving husband Joe, brother Mike, sisters Betty and Fran, and her spiritual father Larry.
