Nina Giordano, beloved mother, extraordinary grandmother, and great-grandmother peacefully entered eternal rest on January 7, 2024, at the age of 92. Born on July 14, 1931, in Detroit, Michigan, Nina was the daughter of Salvator and Grace Daleo.
Throughout her remarkable life, Nina exemplified the true essence of compassion and love. Her devotion to her family knew no boundaries. Nina's nurturing nature and unwavering support made her a cherished figure in the lives of her loved ones.
Nina's journey in life included a marriage to Russell Giordano, the love of her life. Together they raised three children, Carla, Anne, and Grace. Although their paths diverged later in life. Nina held a torch for Russell for the remainder of her life.
Renowned for her kindness and magnetic personality, Nina had a genuine ability to connect with others on a profound level. She possessed an innate sense of empathy and compassion, always ready to lend a listening ear or offer guidance to those in need. Her presence brought comfort and solace to those around her and left an indelible mark on the hearts of all who knew her. Nina was also known for her fabulous skills in the kitchen, and her countless delicious meals that she served her family and friends.
Nina found solace and fascination in astrology and numerology. She delighted in studying these subjects and sharing her knowledge with those who were interested. A passionate lover of a good cup of coffee, Nina delighted in the simple pleasures of life. Her home was adorned with the companionship of cherished dogs and birds, as she had a deep affection for animals.
Another significant aspect of Nina's life was her love for singing. From morning till night, her melodious voice filled the air, bringing joy to those around her. Her passion and talent were a gift she shared freely, leaving an unforgettable impression on all fortunate enough to hear her angelic voice.
Nina also held a special place in her heart for her aunt and uncles, with whom she shared her childhood and beautiful memories. These formative relationships instilled in her a sense of family values, shaping her into the remarkable woman she became.
Beloved mother of Carla (Mark) Greer, Anne (fiancée Michael) Olejniczak, and Grace (Michael) Burns; loving grandmother of Nicole (Steve), Brent (Amy), Russell, Ryan (Danielle), Jordan (Stephanie), Kyle, Taylor (Jillian), Hunter; cherished great-grandmother of 12. Nina is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
Nina is preceded in passing by her former husband Russell Giordano, her parents Salvator and Grace Daleo, and sister Rose Donajkowski.
Visitation for Nina will take place on Thursday, January 11 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral service to be held on Friday, January 12 at the funeral home. Instate, or gathering time, 10:00 AM. Service at 11:00 AM. Procession to Resurrection Cemetery to follow where committal prayers and burial will take place.
