Nelly Gaviola

Nelly Joy Gaviola, age 77, returned home to the Lord on March 13, 2022.  

Beloved mother to Michelle Dawn (Kenny); devoted sister to Lilia, Adlao, Luna, Nathan, Noe, Phoebe, Heide, Soriel, and Ezekiel; dear sister-in-law to Angeles, Betty, Gilda, and Maricar; loving aunt to several nieces and nephews. Nelly Joy was born to Gabriel and Socorro in Iloilo, Philippines. After graduating from Central Philippine University, she moved to the United States where she spent most of her life serving as a nurse. Throughout her younger years, she enjoyed traveling and baking. After retirement, she enjoyed social gatherings with friends and playing the penny slots at the casino. She spent her quiet time reading. The Lord took a significant role in her life, and attending church services was a life-long dedication. Family and friends were always an integral part of Joy's life, and her spark will be missed by those who knew and loved her.
