With deep love and cherished memories, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, Nancy Joan Hunt, who left us peacefully on April 10, 2025, at the age of 70. Born on April 14, 1954, to her loving parents Maynard Dale and Eileen Dixon, Nancy lived a vibrant life filled with love, laughter, and unforgettable memories. She had a calming presence and a smile that could light even the darkest of days.
Family was her greatest joy. She gave generously of her time, her wisdom, and her warmth - always putting others first with her quiet strength and grace. Nancy was the heart of her family, always present at her grandchildren's sporting events and school activities, cheering them on with boundless enthusiasm. Nancy was their biggest fan in life. She adored her grandchildren and shared countless joyous moments with them.
A social butterfly at heart, Nancy loved to spend time with her girlfriends, whether dining out or traveling to sunny destinations where she could bask in the warmth, relax by a pool, or stroll along the beach. She was known for her competitive spirit and her legendary Scrabble skills, where she was the undefeated champion in the family. Alongside her love for words, Nancy enjoyed working on crosswords and word searches – a true testament to her love for challenge and fun.
She leaves behind a legacy of grace, compassion, and love that will live on in the hearts of her children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing and loving her. We will forever miss her smile, her laugh, and the comfort of her embrace. But most of all, we will miss the way she made the world feel a little softer, a little kinder, and a lot more like home. Though our hearts are broken, we take comfort in all the beautiful memories she leaves behind and the enduring impact of her love.
Nancy is survived by her devoted mother, Eileen Dixon; her cherished children, Rebecca (David) Hunt and Michael (Shannon) Hunt; her beautiful grandchildren, Sadie, Reagan, Claire, Ashton, and Easton; and her loving siblings, Elizabeth (Jeff) Perry, Michael (Leeann) Dixon, and Laura (Joe) Hirsch. She is also survived by many adoring nieces and nephews.
Nancy was preceded in death by her loving husband of 48 years, Johnny and her father, Maynard.
