Michael Edward Marx, 69 of Macomb, passed away on the afternoon on May 27, 2021.
Mike was born on August 4, 1951 to Eugene and Violet Marx in Highland Park, Michigan. He graduated from Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton, California in 1969. He went back to school at Central Michigan University to obtain his Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1997, and then his Master of Science in Administration in 2003.
Mike worked at Chrysler Corporation (now called FCA) for 35 years until his retirement in June of 2007. He started at MOPAR and worked his way into management, becoming a systems analyst.
Throughout his life, Mike was an avid golfer, receiving many trophies and awards. He achieved several 'hole in ones' and was in golf leagues for over 45 years. Over the years he volunteered as a hole captain in several professional tournaments.
He was also an avid bowler, participating in leagues for over 45 years. He was part of championship-winning teams and even achieved one '800 series'.
Post-retirement, Mike worked as an extra in 40+ movies and television shows filmed locally. He also enjoyed travelling, trips to casinos and attending sporting events. Recently he had taken up coin collecting, a hobby he enjoyed as a child.
Mike will be forever remembered in the hearts of all who loved him.
Beloved husband of forty years to Bonnie; cherished father of Christina (Tim) Bramble, Stephanie Marx, Greg (Lauren) Marx, and Brett (Nicole) Marx; proud grandfather of Meredith Clemmons, Ian Clemmons, Ethan Marx, and Madelyn Marx; dear brother of Beth (Jim) Fowler, Judy (Marty) Vernier, and Jeff (Wendy) Marx.
Mike was preceded in passing by his loving parents Eugene and Violet Marx, and dear brother John Marx.
Memorial donations in Mike's honor may be made to the Michigan Humane Society.
Visitation to be held on Saturday, June 19th at the funeral home from 11:00 AM - 1:00PM. Funeral Service at 1:00 PM.
