Michael Gerard Esselink

Michael Gerard Esselink, 70, passed away peacefully following a brief illness on Thursday, April 7, 2022. 

Michael was born June 16, 1951 in Grosse Pointe, Mi., to Leroy & Anne Esselink.

Michael married his beloved Sandra Esselink March 24, 1990. Michael was a supportive & proud stepfather to Bobby, Robby, Lisa, & Chrystal.

He spent his last 17 years serving as a manager for Nino Salvaggio's Fruit & Vegetable Market, retiring in February 2021.

Michael only recently retired but always enjoyed the simple things in life when not working whether it be watching his favorite tv programs, golfing, fishing with his grandchildren, & playing cards on the holidays. 

Michael is survived by his devoted wife of 32 years, Sandra. Siblings; John (Gwen), Barb (Bob), Carol, Janice (Dave), & Marty (Cassie). Grandchildren; Michiel, Joshua, Kyle Jr., Hailey, Angel, Mariah, Harmony, Jaylyn, Gavin, Tyler, & Bryce. Nieces; Kelly, Madison, Maureen, and Katy. Nephews; Eric, Conor, and Evan.

He was preceded in death by Leroy & Anne Esselink.

Michael will be sorely missed by all who had the pleasure to know him. He was a firm man in voice, but gentle & quiet in spirit.
