Michael Patrick Barney

Michael Patrick Barney, age 47, passed away surrounded by love on September 17, 2022.

Mike was born to Patrick and Grace Barney on August 29, 1975, in Detroit. He married the love of his life, and together they were raising two beautiful daughters. Mike enjoyed many things during his lifetime; he enjoyed going hunting, fishing, and watching football (his favorite was the Lions!). Mike enjoyed working out, listening to music, and spending time with his family and friends. He will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

Devoted husband to Christy; proud father to Adriana Marie and Lillian Grace; cherished brother to Leonard (Michelle) Tocco, Angelica Barney-Daleo, Anthony (Jennifer); Cherished son in law to Richard and Theresa Switniak; beloved brother in law to Ashley (Vincent) Amalfitano, Alexandra Switniak (Johnathan Ulinksi), and Adam Switniak; loving Uncle to Nathan Barney, Angelo (Christine) Tocco, Dylan, Julian Christian Tocco, Isla Amalfitano; Great Uncle to Gianni, Dominic, and Francesca Tocco. Loved by Aunts, Uncles, cousins, and many great friends.

Predeceased by his loving mother Grace Barney, and nephews Dominc and Nino Daleo.

The family is asking that all family and friends wear Lions attire on Sunday.
