It is with heavy hearts that we announce the peaceful passing of Maryanne Pouttu on November 9, 2023, at the age of 85. Maryanne was born to the late Stanley and Mary Gronick on August 1, 1938, in Scranton, Pennsylvania where she would later build a lifetime of cherished memories.
Maryanne lived a life of love and devotion. She met the love of her life, Thomas, and together they embarked on a beautiful journey filled with love and laughter. Their love grew strong, and they were blessed with two wonderful children who brought immense joy into their lives. The two were married for 53 years.
A woman of unwavering faith, Maryanne was a devout Catholic. Her spirituality was a guiding force in her life and brought her immense comfort and solace during both joyful and challenging times. Maryanne's faith was a testament to her resilience and inner strength.
Maryanne had a passion for nature and could often be found tending to her beloved garden, carefully planting and nurturing flowers that would bloom and flourish. Her green thumb was admired by all, and her garden became a symbol of her warm and loving spirit.
Throughout her life, Maryanne dedicated her time and effort to the Fraiser Figure Skating Club. Her commitment and hard work behind the scenes contributed greatly to the success of the organization, creating an environment where young skaters could follow their dreams. Her dedication and unwavering support will always be remembered and cherished by the figure skating community.
Maryanne took great pride in her home, and her attention to detail was awe-inspiring. She maintained a meticulously clean house, creating a warm and inviting atmosphere for family and friends to gather. Her home was always a place of comfort, filled with love and laughter.
Beloved wife to Tom; cherished mother to Thomas and Melissa; loved grandmother to 3 grandchildren.
