Mary Elizabeth Lane

Mary Elizabeth Lane, age 76 of Roseville, passed away on January 14, 2022 surrounded by the love of her family.

Mary was born on October 13, 1945 in Detroit, Michigan, and was raised by her loving parents John “Jack” and Grace Germaine along with her brother Kenneth. Mary would go on to meet the love of her life, and future husband, Michael Lane. Together, they married and raised four cherished children: Maria, Shannon, Joseph, and Jason. Mary was a wonderful mother and was so overjoyed to become a grandmother later in her life to her beloved grandchildren: Rayna Grace, Michael James, and Gracie Margaret. Before retiring, Mary was a long-time parish secretary at St. Brendan’s Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. Family meant absolutely everything to Mary, and caring for her children and grandchildren brought her the greatest joy. In her free time, Mary loved to cross-stitch, knit, and work on word searches. Mary’s caring spirit, and loving heart will be missed by all who loved her.

Beloved mother of Maria Ann Wheatley, Shannon Marie (Jon) Patheal, Joseph Norman (Darina), and Jason John (Lisa) Lane; proud grandmother of Rayna Grace Lane, Michael James Lane, and Gracie Margaret Lane; cherished sister of Kenneth Germaine. Mary was also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and countless friends.

Mary joins in heaven her beloved husband Michael Lane, and parents John “Jack” and Grace Germaine.

Visitation to take place on Wednesday, January 19 from 11:00 AM – 3:00 PM, with a funeral service at 3:00 PM at the funeral home.
