Mark Tito Vitelli

Mark Tito Vitelli passed in his sleep on June 29, 2020.

Mark is the youngest son of Thomas and Frankie Vitelli and younger brother of John. Born March 15, 1967 in Madison Heights he grew up in St Clair Shores and is a 1985 graduate of Lakeview and received his BBA from Wayne State.  Mark loved and excelled in sports particularly baseball and softball.  He enjoyed his golf trips with his dad and brother throughout the country.  He also enjoyed playing fantasy football and spending time with his great group of friends.  Later in life, on just a normal day at work, he met the love of his life, Sarah Gurnack of Shelby Twp.  They married May 17th of 2008 and enjoyed a lifetime of memories in their time together.  They travelled extensively with two of their favorite destinations being Las Vegas and the Bahamas.  After working many years in the insurance business, together they formed and partnered in their successful independent insurance Van Tol & Vitelli Insurance Agency.

Mark’s legacy will be his love of life and family, valued friendships, hard work, strong character and ability to make everyone’s day a little better for knowing him.

Loving husband of Sarah Vitelli; cherished son of Thomas and Frankie Vitelli; beloved brother of John Vitelli; dear son-in-law of Karen Gurnack; dear brother-in-law of Eric (Renda) Gurnack; favorite uncle of Mickey and Lexie Gurnack; proud fur dad of Buffy, Cleo, and Riley.

Visitation will take place on Wednesday, July 8 from 2-9PM.  To protect all, masks and sanitizers will be available and there is outdoor area that can accommodate up to 100 people with social distancing. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society or American Heart Association would be greatly appreciated. Burial at Resurrection Cemetery on Thursday, July 9 at 11AM. Guests please meet the hearse at the front gates of the cemetery before processing to graveside.
