Mark Todd Pewarchie Sr., beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, and friend, has passed at the age of 60 on November 20, 2023.
Born in the city of Detroit on August 28, 1963, Mark was the cherished son of Michael and Carolyn Pewarchie.
On October 23, 1982, Mark embarked on a beautiful journey of love and commitment when he married the love of his life, Deborah, in Norfolk, Virginia. Their union was the epitome of true love, together since they were just 15 years old and married for 41 years.
Mark was a man of many passions and pursuits, many of which he enjoyed doing in his up-north home in Deckerville, Michigan. He found solace and joy in nature, whether it was hunting, fishing, or planting trees. He possessed an innate talent for fixing things, displaying his handyman skills whenever the need arose and always lending a helping hand. He was known for his resourcefulness and knack for finding hidden treasures. He especially loved spending an afternoon watching his grandsons pursue their love for sports.
Mark was more than just a provider. He was a pillar of strength for his family. His hard work and dedication was evident through his long-term career, working at Chrysler Corporation beginning in August of 1996 and receiving Retirement Disability in December of 2022. He was a proud member of the UAW Union. Mark ensured that his loved ones were always taken care of, for he believed that their happiness and well-being were his utmost priority. His big personality left an indelible mark on those he encountered.
Mark's legacy will forever live on through his children, grandchildren, and his beloved wife, Deborah. His devotion, love, and unwavering commitment to his family will serve as a constant reminder of the incredible man he was.
Cherished husband of Deborah; loved father of Mark (Samantha) Jr., and Nicholas (Felicia); proud grandfather to Bentley and Jasper; dearest son-in-law to Linda Granthen; beloved brother-in-law to Timothy Sloat; kind Uncle to many nieces and nephews.
Joined in Heaven by his loving parents, Michael Jr. and Carolyn. Siblings Michael (late Janice) III, Matthew (Geralyn), and brother-in-law Terrance Sloat.
