Marjorie Anne Ellena

Marjorie Anne Ellena, age 89 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on March 18, 2021.

Marjorie was born on September 27, 1931 to Dewey and Clara Bowers in Marsilles, Illinois.  As a young woman, Marjorie met the love of her life, Eugene Dale Ellena. They were married on April 8, 1951 in Marseilles. Together, Marjorie and Eugene raised six children: Stephen, Lawrence, Phyllis, Pamela, Jamie Craig, and Cynthia. She was a long time teachers aid, and taught for many years before retiring from the Lanse Creuse School District. Marjorie enjoyed sewing, gardening, and reading in her free time. The most important part of her life, however, was her dear family and the time she was able to spend with them.

Beloved wife of Eugene Dale Ellena; cherished mother of Stephen, Lawrence (Sandra), Phyllis, Pamela (Daniel) Tate, Jamie Craig (Debbie), and Cynthia (Peter) Solitro; loving grandmother of Kristyn, Eric, Benjamin, Dale, Charlie, Anthony, and Ashley; dear great-grandmother of 7.

Marjorie is predeceased by her parents Dewey and Clara Bowers; siblings Marie (Glen) Inskeep, Carolyn (Donald) Bell, and Milton (Jo) Bowers.

She will be forever missed by all who loved her.
