Marion Marecki

Marion Pearl Marecki, a compassionate soul who brought love and joy to all who knew her, passed away peacefully on December 22, 2023, surrounded by the love of her family, at the age of 88. Born on July 11, 1935, in Detroit, Marion was the beloved daughter of Frank and Josephine Grozenski.

Devoted to her family, Marion shared a beautiful journey with her loving husband, Jerome Marecki. They were blessed with 44 years of marriage and together raised three wonderful children. As a dedicated and devout Catholic, Marion found solace and strength in her faith, constantly enveloping those around her in her warm prayers.

Marion cherished the simple pleasures of life. In quiet moments, you would often find her immersed in the pages of a good book or captivated by a timeless movie. She and Jerome were avid travelers, escaping the cold Michigan winters and venturing to the sun-kissed landscapes of California and Arizona. Additionally, they embarked on unforgettable journeys to Europe, where they reveled in the rich culture and history of the continent.

Marion's joyful spirit and friendly demeanor endeared her to everyone she met. Her genuine kindness and caring nature left a lasting impact on those fortunate enough to cross her path. Whether it was lending a listening ear or offering a comforting embrace, Marion had an unmatched ability to make others feel loved and valued.

Loved mother of Michael (Jill), John (Barb), and Joseph (Diane); cherished sister to Frank (late Mary); proud grandmother to Melissa (Brandon), John (Felisha), Emma (Lewis), and Malcolm; beloved great-grandma to Aiden, Alicia, Amelia, and James.
