Louise Saad

Mary Louise Saad, age 95 of Macomb, passed away on April 4, 2022, surrounded by the love of her family.

Louise was born on July 25, 1926 to Noah and Helen Lahood in Bridgeport, Ohio. As a young girl, Louise moved with her family to Michigan where she met the love of her life, Charles, in grade school.  After he returned home from serving in World War II, they reconnected and Louise married Charles in 1953. Together, they raised two beloved children, Charles Jr. and Janice. Louise was an executive secretary for many years, working in the automotive industry and at Wayne State University.  

Louise will always be remembered for her wonderful sense of humor and wit that never waned despite her health challenges.  Her faith,  perseverance and fortitude were an inspiration to all of those around her.   She loved her family  and did everything she could to help and take care of them. Louise enjoyed reading and was an excellent writer.  Her encouragement influenced her children to be passionate about reading and writing as well.  Flowers brought her and those around her joy and she enjoyed working in her beautiful rose garden. Louise was a wonderful hostess who enjoyed entertaining.  She would cook and bake for days, with love, as she anticipated hosting family holidays and parties.  Louise will be forever remembered and inspired by all who knew and loved her.

Cherished mother of  Charles Saad Jr., and Janice (David) Schleicher.   Louise is also survived by many dear nieces and nephews, family, and friends.

Louise is joined in heaven with her husband Charles, her parents and dear siblings Alice, Lillian, Florence and Lucille. 

Visitation to take place on Monday, April 11th from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM. Funeral Mass to take place on Tuesday, April 12th at St. Isidore Catholic Church. In state, or gathering time, 9:30 AM. Mass at 10:00 PM. Burial to follow at Resurrection Cemetery.
