Lottie Madeline Brady born May 15, 1923 (101), in Hamtramck, Michigan, passed March 25, 2025, surrounded by love and warmth. Lottie leaves behind a legacy of love and resilience ingrained in the lives of her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Chester V. Brady (after a loving marriage of 56 years).
Lottie is also preceded in death by her parents, Antoinette and Andrew Paluch, and her siblings Walter Jawniak (Josephine), Julie Dueweke (Ray), Eugene Patterson (Dixie) and Helen Yagiela (Frank).
Lottie is survived by her married children, Sharon Hanson (Mark), Madelene Sanders (John), Gail Porter (Donald), and Michelle O’Connor (Timothy).
Lottie’s joy in life was the relationship she had with her grandchildren: Michael and James Hanson; Melissa Kucejko (Timothy); Katrina Holdorf (Zachary); Kelly Porter; Meaghan and Brady O’Connor and great-grandchildren: Malachi and Ezekiel Kucejko; Jack, Avery and Mackenzie Holdorf.
Lottie was extremely creative. An excellent seamstress…sewing everything from a wedding dress to draperies. She painted, made the best apple pie and loved gardening. Lottie had a “green thumb” which she inherited from her mother and passed on to her daughters.
Lottie’s faith was steadfast. She trusted God with her life, lives of her children and extended families. We are blessed that she was able to hear goodbyes and sing a bit of her trademark song, I Love You a Bushel and a Peck and a Hug Around the Neck.
