Lisa Jan Destefanis, age 62 of Chesterfield, passed away on June 29, 2024, surrounded by her loved ones. Born on April 6, 1962, in Grosse Pointe, Michigan to Walter and Judy Preda, Lisa's life was a beautiful testament to love, family, and faith. Lisa's journey began with a serendipitous encounter with her soulmate, Donald Destefanis, a moment that ultimately led to a lifetime of love and devotion. Sharing 30 blissful years of marriage, they raised two cherished children, Dayna and Donald III.
Family was Lisa's cornerstone, and her role as Mom, Grammy, Sister and Auntie brought immeasurable joy to those around her. Lisa's love knew no bounds, and her warmth and generosity made her home a haven for all who entered. Known for her culinary prowess and hospitality, Lisa's presence made every gathering a celebration of life and love. Her genuine spirit, unwavering support, and infectious laughter touched the lives of many.
A firm believer in the power of faith, Lisa's strength shone brightly through her unwavering commitment to Jesus Christ. Her kindness, humor, and selflessness endeared her to all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lisa's compassionate nature and role as a peacemaker brought harmony to many. Her resilient spirit and forgiving heart were a beacon of light in the lives of those she loved.
Beloved mom of Dayna Dension, and Donald (Stef) Destefanis III; loving grammy of Bobby Jr., Milan, Aria, Madalynn, and Everett; dearest sister of Kathy (Ron) Gaines, and Debby (Marty) Dorda; cherished auntie of Ian (Neva), David, Jamie (Paul), Marty (Natalie), and Amanda; great-auntie of Taylor (Dom), Josh, Haley (Trent), Paully, Nia, Max, Carter, Tenley, and Mason; best sister in law to Rose (Scott) Schule and auntie to Tony (Mary), Angel (Terry), and Scotty and great-auntie of Emma; dear sister-in-love to Pat (Jim), Sunshine Karen; and niece-in-love Erin.
Lisa is preceded in passing and united in heaven with her devoted husband Donald Destefanis, her parents Walter and Judy, sister Becky (Whitey) Cafarillia, nephews Eric and Keith, and great-nephew Baby Ty.
Visitation to take place on Monday, July 1 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home (46530 Romeo Plank Rd, Macomb, MI). Funeral Service to take place on Tuesday, July 2 at Grace Christian Church (33801 Van Dyke Ave, Sterling Heights, MI 48312). Instate, or gathering time 10:00 AM Funeral Service at 11:00AM. Procession to Glen Eden Cemetery to follow the service where burial will take place.
