Lillian Sorrentino Obituary

Lillian Mary Sorrentino of Sterling Heights passed away peacefully on December 18, 2021.

Lillian was born in Detroit to Rose and Sante Santin. She continued her childhood in Detroit with her loving parents and grandparents. At the age of 17, she welcomed the arrival of her sister Diana.

Lillian graduated from East Commerce High School in 1945.

During WWII she was employed as a secretary at the Civil Services. For a short time after the war, she continued to work for Braun Lumber.

As a young mother, she volunteered several years to the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts of America. She was also a proud member of the Venetian Women’s Club for 73 years.

Upon her husbands retirement, they joined the Knights of Columbus retirees and enjoyed several activities with their dearest friends.

Lillian was a courageous breast cancer survivor and through her battle, taught her family strength and resolve.

She was an avid photographer. She has left her family with many precious photo albums depicting many happy memories. She never hesitated to point out a bird, animal, tree, or even a cloud formation. Lillian appreciated ALL of Gods creations.
