It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Leonard Gary Frederick, who left us peacefully on July 28, 2025, just one day shy of his 80th birthday. Born on July 29, 1945, to Leonard and Bernice in Detroit, Leonard lived a life rich with love, adventure, and cherished memories.
Leonard is remembered as a loving husband to his wife, Jacquelyn, and a devoted father and grandfather. He cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren, always ready with a smile and a story. His passion for fishing and hunting filled his life with joy, and he found serenity in the beauty of the great outdoors.
As a dedicated member of the Army, Leonard served honorably in Vietnam, where he not only protected our freedoms but also garnered a wealth of unforgettable experiences and war stories that he would share with pride. His tales, sprinkled with humor and wisdom, captivated all who had the pleasure of listening.
Leonard's warmth, generosity, and hearty laughter will echo in the hearts of those who knew him. He had an uncanny ability to make everyone feel welcome and included, leaving a lasting impact on countless lives.
Devoted husband to Jacquelyn; proud grandfather to Samantha, Christopher, Ashley, and great-grandson Ryan
Joined in Heaven by his loving parents, Leonard and Bernice, and his son Thomas J. (Katrina) Frederick
