Kennith O. Lewis, or “TRUCK” as most in his life knew him, passed away on June 30, 2020 surrounded by the two most important people in his life; his wife and daughter.
Truck was born into the world on April 30, 1947 to Gillis and Ruth Lewis in Harzard, Kentucky. As a young boy, his family moved north; and it was this move that brought him to Michigan where he would meet his high school sweetheart, and love of his life, Gail Dutton. At the age of 20, Truck proudly joined the U.S. Military during the Vietnam War. However, he did not leave for the war before marrying his love, Gail, and uniting the two forever. Truck served his country with dedication and honor for two years, before coming home. It was after his time in the service that his love of motorcycles and the brotherhood in the clubs that he held so dear came to light. In the early 1970’s, he was a member and brother of the Liberty Riders M/C. The 1970’s also brought something else in his world that would change him forever; the birth of his daughter Jennifer Lewis. Truck and Gail proved to be two of the most exceptional, and loving parents to their little girl. Truck would go on to become a brother of the Michigan Dressers M/C, where he celebrated his 40th year as a legendary member this past June.
Truck was also a loyal and hardworking man at the General Motors Power Train Plant, where he retired as a Quality Control Supervisor after 31 years. Besides riding, Truck also enjoyed being in the great outdoors, hunting and fishing where and when he could. His life lessons, wisdom, and strong spirit will be missed by all that had the honor to meet him.
Ride on.
Beloved husband of 52 years of Gail; cherished father of Jennifer; dearest adoptive father of Lisa and her family (Scott, James Ray, Paige, Zachary, and Samantha); loved brother in law of Debi (Duane and son Greg) Blucher.
Truck is also survived by his beloved club brothers, dear family, and friends.
First day of visitation will be held on Monday, July 6 from 2-9PM. Second day of visitation will be held Tuesday, July 7 from 2-6PM
