Karol Grace Michalczak

Karol Grace Michalczak, a loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and neighbor, peacefully passed away on October 31, 2024, at the age of 66.

Born on October 2, 1958, in Detroit, Michigan, Karol was the cherished daughter of Arthur and Eleanor Madajczyk. Karol's passion for art and graphic design led her to pursue a career after attending UCLA and graduating from the Detroit College for Creative Studies. She met her soulmate, Thomas Michalczak, and they exchanged vows in a beautiful ceremony on October 3, 1986, at St. Jane Frances De Chantal Catholic Church. Throughout their journey together, they were blessed with three wonderful children: Thomas, Megan, and Amber, who were the center of Karol's universe. Family was paramount to Karol, and her role as a mother and grandmother brought her immense joy. Known for her boundless love, generous and kind spirit, Karol touched the lives of everyone she met. She had a special talent for giving thoughtful gifts, capturing special moments through photography, enjoyed traveling, and maintaining a well-organized home. She treasured family traditions and holiday celebrations. The legacy of Karol Michalczak will live on in the hearts of her family members and friends. The funeral services to honor and celebrate Karol's life will be held at St. Isidore Catholic Church on Thursday, November 7. Instate, or gathering time, 9:30 AM. Mass at 10:00 AM. Private family entombment will follow mass at Resurrection Cemetery.

Karol's memory will forever be cherished by those who had the privilege of knowing her.

Beloved wife of 38 years to Thomas Michalczak; loving mother to Thomas Jr. (Hafsa) Michalczak, Megan (Matthew) Myers, and Amber Michalczak; cherished grandmother to Matthew Myers and a baby on the way; dearest sister to Kenneth (Julie) Madajczyk, Karen (Mark) Cueter, Kimberly (Mike) Sackner, and Kevin (Sue) Madajczyk. Karol is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, family and numerous friends.

Karol is reunited with her mother and father, Arthur and Eleanor Madajczyk.
