Karen Ann McClellan, age 71, passed away on May 1, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love and laughter. Born to James "Ray" and Margaret “Peggy” McClellan in Detroit on January 24, 1953, Karen was a beloved mother, Nana, and great-Nana who cherished every moment spent with her family.
Karen had a passion for baking and was famous for her exquisite buttercream frosting, cakes, and pies. She enjoyed spontaneous road trips to anywhere and seeking out the best garage sales. But mostly spending treasured time with her grandkids.
Proud of her Irish heritage, Karen especially loved celebrating St. Patrick's Day and getting together with her siblings. She relished in socializing, and was known for her boundless energy, flamboyant commentary, “gift for gab”, and a personality that is legendary.
Loving mother to Cheryl Lynn (Stan) Pobe and Tim (Kristen) Davis; cherished sister to Kathryn (Art), Raymond, Andrew, Patrick, Thomas, and Kelley (Robert); proud Nana to Chris, Sammantha (Jesse), Alyssa (Jordan), Timmie, and Christopher; adoring great-Nana to Aalayia, Teagan Rose, and Avery.
Joined in Heaven by her loving parents, Ray and Peggy
