Joyce Smith

Joyce Marie Smith, age 90 of Harrison Twp., passed away on October 11, 2021.

Joyce was born on June 11, 1931 to Roy and Mary Moldenhauer in Detroit, Michigan. As a young woman, Joyce would meet the love of her life and future husband Don Smith while attending a music studio. They fell in love, and married at St. Veronicas in East Detroit. Together they raised two beloved children: Carol and Jeffrey. Joyce was known for her award winning gardens, her love of always being active (be it biking, walking, or dancing), and being an amazing Mom, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother. Her family was always the most important part of her life, and she enjoyed spending as much time as she could with them. 

Joyce will be forever remembered by all who loved her.

Beloved Mother of Carol (Richard Fassett) Tauck, and Jeffrey (Dianna) Smith; cherished Grandmother of Kristin  (Devon) Doyle, Lauren (Brian) Drimer, Steve (Ashley) Tauck, Jordon Smith, and Devin Smith; loved Gigi of Avery, Jase, Mia, Gavin, Liana, and Weston. 

Joyce was preceded in passing by her loving Husband Don Smith, Parents Roy and Mary Moldenhauer, Brother Ralph Moldenhauer, and Son-in-law Douglas Tauck, Beloved in-laws James and Elsie Smith. Also preceded by her dear Brother in-law   Jim Smith, and Sister in-law Linda Anderson. 

Visitation to take place on Saturday, November 13 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM.
