Joyce Anne Hobbs

Joyce Anne Hobbs, age 81 of Macomb, passed away peacefully on February 11, 2021.

 

Joyce was born on January 25, 1940 in Detroit, Michigan. It was in Detroit, that a young Joyce would meet the love of her life, Gerald Hobbs, while he was working at the local drug store. It was love at first sight for the two, and later married in 1959. Together, Joyce and Gerald raised five children: Kim, Jill, Jerry, Chris, and Mark. Joyce loved to be a mother to her children and was overjoyed to become a grandmother and great-grandmother. Her family meant the world to her, and she was very close to all her grandchildren. She also enjoyed traveling with her dear husband Gerald, shopping, and playing cards with her family. She also was very connected with her faith. Joyce was a long-time member of St. Isidore Catholic Church, a parish she loved. Joyce will be forever remembered for her kind spirit and loving heart.

 

She will be forever missed by all who loved her.

 

Beloved wife of 62 years of Gerald Hobbs; cherished mom of Kim (Kevin) Kuntz, Jill (Jim) Aleo, Jerry Hobbs, Chris (Debi) Hobbs, and Mark Hobbs; dear grandmother of Aimee (Mike) McCollum, Kasey (Taylor) Barker, Kellie Kuntz, Stephanie (Tony) Hall, Christopher (fiancée Kaley) Hobbs, Noelle Hobbs, Ian Hobbs, Theo Hobbs, and Morgan (fiancée Mike) Russeau; proud great-grandmother of Connor, Kennedy, Charlie, Katherine, Emerson, Brady, Sophia, and Eli.

 

Funeral Mass will be held on Monday, February 15 at St. Isidore Catholic Church on Romeo Plank Road in Macomb. Instate, or gathering time, at 9:30 AM. Mass at 10:00 AM.
