Joseph John Zerillo passed from this life on February 28, 2025
Joe was the beloved son of Domenico and Gladys Zerillo. He was born in Detroit on April 12, 1940 and was the younger brother of Dominick. He married Barbara Ellen Zampich on June 14, 1969 and they shared more than 55 wonderful years together. Joe was the loving father of Michael, Anthony, Dennis (Tracy) and Sandy (Jason) Frattini, and proud grandpa of Maria and Elizabeth Zerillo, and Matthew and Joseph Frattini.
Joe loved spending time with family and friends and enjoyed the outdoors. In his earlier years he enjoyed deer and pheasant hunting, camping, golfing, and just working in the yard. He had a lot of good times with cousins, brothers-in-law and friends and treasured the time he spent with them. When he was retired and life started slowing down, he would be found at the local senior center, playing euchre and pinochle. Joe had a big heart and was always available to do errands or provide transportation to anyone who needed it.
The Lord called Joe to his heavenly home on February 28th, 2025. He was predeceased by his parents and son, Anthony. Although we grieve his loss, our hearts are full of love and the great memories he leaves us with.
Visitation will be from 2-8pm on March 5th, 2025 at Lee-Ellena Funeral Home, 46530 Romeo Plank Road, Macomb, Mi, 48044. He will lie instate at St Paul Lutheran Church, 42681 Hayes Road, Sterling Heights, Michigan, 48313 from 10-11am on March 6th, 2025, followed by the funeral service at 11am.
Memorials may be made to St. Paul Lutheran Church or the charity of your choice.
