Joseph Dennis McInerney, age 85, passed away on January 17, 2025. He was born on March 25, 1939. Lifelong resident of Macomb County, MI and parishioner of St. Peters Catholic Church in Mt. Clemens. Devoted husband of Kathleen of 59.5 years and loving father of Annette (Paul) Arment of Shelby Township and David (Heather) McInerney of Richmond Township. He loved his 7 grandchildren; Blake (Brianna) Fowler, Brett (Tammie) Fowler, Bryan (Samantha) Arment, Brooke (Josiah) Kondek, Ashley (Nick) Trierweiler, Hailey (Kaleb) Carter, and Dillon (Madison) McInerney. He was proud of great-grandchildren; Aaron, Cadence, Paisley, Lydia, Everleigh, Beckett, Jack, Charlotte and Noah. He was known by loved ones as Dennis and was a retired Die Maker from Chrysler Automotive after 30 years at various car production plants in Southeast, MI. He enjoyed free time repairing anything in his garage, collecting and storing treasures especially 3 classic cars, helping in the kitchen, attending any and all grandchild related school or sports activities. He loved to travel with his wife and enjoyed time with her and friends multiple times in Ireland, cruising the Caribbean, Alaska and a lot of time seeing all corners of MI, especially up North. In later years he really treasured summertime at the cottage on Black Lake near Onaway, spending long hours napping in the sun, Pontoon rides, watching birds and beach and boat activities. He loved to complain and entertain with very quick wit, I wish we would have wrote down all the Denny'isms. Recent months he spent quietly at home systematically working puzzles, organizing his TV watching strategy, playing dominos with loved ones and working diligently with Kathy to manage the aging changes that eventually took him from us. Our worlds will never be the same without him, he leaves a huge void for us. He is predeceased by his parents Eloise Sophie (Smith) and George Kenneth McInerney of Roseville and siblings George Kenneth II of Alcona, Carol Thomas of Roseville and John of Dryden.
