Joseph Peter Kelly

Joseph Peter Kelly, age 25, passed away on April 11, 2024.

 Joey, as he was affectionately known, entered this world on December 25, 1998, to the delight of his devoted parents Renee and Paul in Detroit, Michigan. Joey's presence brightened the lives of all who knew him, particularly his twin sister Jordyn and brother Tristan.

With a heart as vast as the ocean, Joey's kindness touched the souls of those around him. His joy knew no bounds when in the company of family, whom he treasured beyond words. Joey's infectious laughter and witty humor brought solace to many, a testament to his compassionate nature. In the tapestry of his life, he found unwavering love and companionship in Savanna Zook, his beloved fiancé.

Joey found solace in the simplicity of life's pleasures - whether on the golf course, casting a line into the water, or cheering for his favorite football and baseball teams. As a loyal supporter of the Detroit Tigers and admirer of Derrick Henry, he shared his passion for sports with an unmatched enthusiasm.

Jospeh Peter Kelly will be forever loved and remembered by all.

Beloved son of Renee Mercurio, and Paul (Kim Donley) Kelly; proud brother of Tristan (fiancé Danielle Brazil)  Kelly and Jordyn Kelly; dearest step-brother of Emily (Adam) Jobes, Ethan Dych, and Ryan Dych; loving fiancé Savanna Zook; cherished grandson of Marilyn Kelly, Donato & Mary Mercurio; loved nephew of Christine (Craig) Kozumplik, Daniel Mercurio  and Kim (Mike) Courter. Joey is also survived by many loving family, and numerous friends.

Joey is preceded in passing by his dear grandfather William Kelly.

Visitation to take place on Monday, April 15 from 2:00 PM – 8:00 PM with a memory sharing at 6:30 PM.

Burial to take place at Christian Memorial Gardens West in Rochester Hills on Tuesday, April 16 at 12:30 PM, meeting at the cemetery gates.
